This is a super-challenging, and accurate, fruit-slicing simulator. I was having a lot of fun with Fruit Ninja VR, but when I found this one, I immediately needed to try it.Fruit Ninja is fun for some casual, arcade-like gaming, but Katana X is for serious. The slicing physics are dead-on, and actually making it through what your cutting takes skill and practice. You can't slice through your fruit with your blade backwards in this one!I highly reccomend this one if you want to practice some more life-like sword-play, and get a good arm workout in the process.. The core gameplay of this game may seem overly simple, but the action is astonishingly addictive. Unlike the classic mobile game Fruit Ninja, the nuanced physics and demanding rigor of Katana X touches to something more significant within me. The smooth sweeping strikes one must perform to score well in Katana X deceive me into believing that I may have missed my true calling as a swordsman.And therein lies the draw of Katana X. Not once before in VR or in any other medium have I felt like I was actually using a sword. Whether it be Wii Motion Plus's 1:1 sword battles or the swordsman in Raw Data, eventually all these previous experiences have resulted in me seeing beyond the presentation and result in me waggling my "sword" around violently, without any care or elegance, like someone trying to distract a free throwing basketball player with a foam finger. In Katana X the sword has finally become real.. They got the mechanic for the sword physics and feel absolutely right. It feels just so satisfying swinging the sword around and hitting things. This is the best implimentation of sword physics I've seen in a game. Well done, and highly recommended.. way too much blade latancy, yes it tries to respect blade orientation but it cannot keep up with it.. Very, very good game! This is the "Sim-version" of "Fruit Ninja"!. Much better than Fruit Ninja VR (10hours in).Slicing feels very realistic while the game offers great enjoyment. It really doesn't have to be as fake/arcady as Fruit Ninja lol.The person in the trailer looks like a pro to me. Because when I've played the game.it looked.different. LOLBut while playing you'll notice that you're getting better, slice by slice so to say. lolGraphics, sound, physics really good. A little more music and crazy environments and overall more content would be nice.+1
